- What we do
- Sydney Relocators is an owner-operated removalist company that moves homes, apartments and offices across Sydney, and interstate to anywhere in Australia.
- Where we work
- The whole Sydney metropolitan area. Most of our work is on the Lower and Upper North Shore, in the Eastern Suburbs, the inner city and the Hills district.
- What it costs
- Every job is quoted individually, because access and volume vary far more than bedroom count suggests. Quoting is free, and the figure we give you is the figure you pay.
- Insurance
- We carry public liability and goods-in-transit cover on every job at no additional charge, and we provide a certificate of currency to building management on request.
- How to book
- Send the two addresses and a rough inventory through the quote form, or call 0402 592 492. Quotes are answered the same day during business hours.
- Notice required
- A week or two for a midweek move. Three to four weeks for a Saturday, the end of the month, or anything in December.
Six things we do properly.
We don't broker work and we don't subcontract. Whoever quotes your job is who turns up to it.

The quote is the promise.
Most removalist quotes are an opening position. An hourly rate is given over the phone, the crew arrives to find stairs nobody mentioned, and the number moves. The customer finds out at the end of the day, holding a card.
We scope the job first — the access at both ends, the pieces that need two people, the lift window your building has given you. Then we give you a figure. If something genuinely changes on the day, we tell you what it costs before we do it, not after.
- 01 The owner scopes and prices every job
- 02 One crew from first box to last
- 03 Protection, trolleys and reassembly included
- 04 Building paperwork handled with management
- 05 No brokering, no subcontracting
- 06 Written scope before you commit
If something goes wrong on your move, you won't be dealing with a call centre. You'll be dealing with me.
I started this with one truck and a rule I've never broken: quote the job honestly, even when it costs me the booking. Nearly every complaint people have about removalists comes down to a number that changed on the day — and that was a choice somebody made.
So I scope every job myself, and I'm usually on the truck. If your street is too narrow or your driveway is too steep for a big truck, I would rather tell you before you book than discover it together with your furniture already on the footpath.
And we put the beds back together before we go. Not because anyone asks — because the last thing you need at nine o'clock at night is to be hunting for an allen key.
Four steps, and none of them are exciting.
Which is the entire point. The best compliment we get is that the day was boring.
- 01
Scope
You send the addresses and a rough inventory. For larger homes we come and walk through it, at no charge.
- 02
Quote
A written figure, same day, with what is included and what is not. No obligation.
- 03
Prepare
We confirm the crew and truck, send your building our certificate of currency, and build the day around the lift window you have booked.
- 04
Move
Wrapped, loaded, delivered, reassembled. Beds go back together before we leave.
What's in the price.
Almost every argument on moving day starts with something the customer assumed was included. So here it is before you ask.

- 01 Crew and a truck sized to the job
- 02 Heavy moving blankets on all furniture
- 03 Shrink wrap on upholstery, mattresses and drawers
- 04 Floor runners and door protection at both addresses

- 06 Dismantling and reassembly of standard furniture
- 07 Travel between your two addresses

We know exactly how that reads. They're all on our Google profile with names and dates on them — the link goes straight there, have a look.

We've used Sydney Relocators twice now for house and office moves. Ansul talks you through exactly how the job will run before he starts, so there are no surprises on the day.
Sudheer S.
Ansul and the team were professional and clearly knew what they were doing, right down to reassembling the furniture at the other end. Easily the best removalist I've used in Sydney.
Neha S.
The crew turned up right on time and worked hard the whole way through. They were careful with the building's walls and lifts, and wrapped every piece of furniture properly.
Shweta A.
A genuinely stress-free move from start to finish. The team was professional and efficient, and even helped us pick up an extra piece of furniture along the way.
Amin B.
Second time booking Sydney Relocators and it was outstanding again. Ansul and his crew kept everything smooth and organised — we'll be calling them for the next move too.
Matthew M.
I spent hours comparing companies before booking — a lot of the '5-star' ones had a pattern of one-star complaints about damage once you dug in. Ansul and Vishal were a different standard entirely.
Dipankar C.
Used them again for our latest move and they were excellent as always. Ansul's team disassembled and reassembled every piece of furniture with real care — the workmanship is second to none.
Ramakrishnan N.
Moved us from Parramatta to Stanhope Gardens and the service was outstanding throughout. The team was punctual, professional, and particularly skilled at dismantling and reassembling furniture.
There's always a cheaper quote.
Here's what usually explains the gap. Worth two minutes before you decide.
| Criterion | Sydney Relocators | The cheapest quote |
|---|---|---|
| 01 The figure | Scoped in advance and written down. It holds unless you change the job. | An hourly rate that begins climbing once the crew sees the stairs. |
| 02 Insurance | Public liability and goods-in-transit on every job, certificate available on request. | Frequently none, or a token sum that will not replace what it damages. |
| 03 The crew | Our own people, doing this full time, with the owner on the job. | Whoever was available, sometimes subcontracted the night before. |
| 04 Protection | Blankets, wrap, floor runners and door protection as standard. | Billed as extras, or skipped to keep the headline rate low. |
| 05 Building access | Dock heights and lift limits checked in advance, certificate of currency provided. | Your problem, discovered at the door with a loaded truck. |
| 06 When it goes wrong | One number, and the person who answers it can resolve it. | A claim form and a long silence. |

These are the areas we work in most. We cover the whole of Sydney, and we don't charge more because you're on the other side of it.
All areas01 How much do removalists cost in Sydney?
Across the Sydney market in 2026, a two-person crew and truck generally runs between $140 and $200 an hour, a three-person crew between $290 and $340, and a four-person crew between $390 and $460. A whole job typically lands between $600 for a studio and $3,300 or more for a four-bedroom house. We quote each move individually rather than publishing a rate, because access and volume change the figure far more than bedroom count does.
02 Why don't you publish an hourly rate?
Because an hourly rate on its own tells you almost nothing. Two three-bedroom houses can differ by four hours depending on stairs, carry distance, lift availability and what is in the garage. A published rate would be wrong for most of the people reading it, and being wrong in a quote is the problem we are trying to solve.
03 Do you charge for travel time between addresses?
There is no depot-to-depot charge. Travel between your collection and delivery addresses is part of the quoted job, not an extra line on the invoice.
04 Are you insured?
Yes. We carry public liability and goods-in-transit cover, both applying to every job at no extra charge. Most apartment and commercial buildings require a certificate of currency before a removalist is allowed on site; we provide one as a matter of course.
05 How far in advance should I book a removalist?
A week or two is usually enough for a midweek move. For a Saturday, the last few days of the month, or anything in December, allow three to four weeks — those dates fill first across the whole industry.
06 Do you handle lift bookings and parking permits?
No — buildings and councils will only take those from the resident or owner, so the lift booking and any council parking permit have to come from you. Tell us the window you have been given and we build the job around it. We do provide our certificate of currency to building management, which is what most buildings ask a removalist for.
07 Can you move pianos, artwork and antiques?
Yes, and these are quoted separately because they need specific equipment and usually an additional person. Tell us early so the crew and the truck are planned around them rather than improvised on the day.
08 Do you move interstate?
Yes — door to door from Sydney to anywhere in Australia. Your furniture is loaded once, travels on our truck, and is unloaded at the other end. No depot transfers and nothing handed to a company you have never spoken to.
