- Parking. Woollahra, Waverley and Randwick councils all run resident permit schemes, and a removal truck without a temporary permit is either moved on or ticketed.
- How we handle it
- We apply for the permit on your behalf when the street requires one, and we allow the council lead time in the booking rather than leaving it to the last week.
- Terraces
- Woollahra, Paddington and Darlinghurst terraces have narrow staircases with a turn at the top. What comes out in one piece is decided when we quote, not on the morning.
- Beachside walk-ups
- Bondi Beach, Bronte and Coogee are dominated by interwar blocks with no lift. The floor is confirmed and the stair run crewed for before a figure is given.
- Prestige addresses
- Point Piper, Darling Point, Vaucluse and Bellevue Hill involve steep private access and contents that warrant individual handling. Those jobs are always surveyed.

Most residential streets across the eastern suburbs are permit parking, and councils need notice to issue a temporary permit for a removal truck. Left to the week of the move, it is the single most common reason a morning starts badly.
We apply for it as a matter of course and build the lead time into the booking. It costs nothing to organise early and a great deal to discover late.

Yes, wherever the street needs one. Councils require lead time, so the earlier the booking is confirmed the smoother the move day runs.
03 Will my sofa come down the terrace stairs?
Often, though not always in one piece. It depends on the turn rather than the width, so we look at it when we quote and plan for dismantling or a balcony route if needed.
04 Do you handle high-value contents?
Yes. Artwork, marble, sculpture and pianos are surveyed before the day, crated where warranted, and their condition recorded before anything is lifted.
