Removalists in McMahons Point
Victorian streets, a 1960s tower, and very little room for a truck.
McMahons Point runs down Blues Point Road from the shops to Blues Point Reserve, with Victorian terraces on narrow side streets and apartment buildings looking straight across the harbour. Most of the streets were laid out for horses, and they still feel like it on moving day.

- The main constraint
- Street width. The side streets off Blues Point Road are narrow and fully parked, and many terraces open straight onto the footpath with no driveway.
- Building stock
- Victorian and Federation terraces, interwar walk-ups and larger apartment buildings near the water, including Blues Point Tower at the point.
- Apartment buildings
- The larger buildings usually need a booked lift, a certificate of currency and protected common areas. Some have strict move times.
- Terraces
- Narrow halls and tight staircase turns. We measure the large pieces against the stairs before the day.
- Typical job
- One and two-bedroom apartments or two and three-bedroom terraces. Half a day to a full day.
- Parking
- Blues Point Road is busy around the shops and the reserve on weekends. Early starts are worth it on almost every McMahons Point job.
A terrace staircase decides what comes.
McMahons Point terraces have the classic problem: a narrow hall, a staircase with a tight turn at the top, and a modern bed or sofa that went up before the balustrade was replaced or was built in the room. It came in, so it can usually come out, but sometimes only in pieces or through a window.
We ask for the dimensions and a photo of the turn when you book. Knowing a fortnight out gives time to dismantle, plan a different route, or decide the piece is staying behind.

01 Will my king bed get down the terrace stairs?
Send the dimensions and a photo of the staircase turn and we will tell you before the day. If it won't, we work out whether it dismantles or needs another way out.
02 My building has strict move times. Can you work to them?
Yes. Tell us the window the building gives you and we will have the truck loaded or staged so the time is spent moving, not walking.
03 Is there parking for the truck?
Rarely right outside. We plan the stop before the date and start early, which usually gets us much closer to the door.
04 How is a McMahons Point move priced?
Hourly, with your rate locked in writing and an estimate based on the stairs, the building and the parking. If something will add time, we tell you when we quote.
05 Do you cover Lavender Bay and Waverton?
Yes, along with North Sydney, Milsons Point and the rest of the Lower North Shore.

We've used Sydney Relocators twice now for house and office moves. Ansul talks you through exactly how the job will run before he starts, so there are no surprises on the day.
Sudheer S.
Ansul and the team were professional and clearly knew what they were doing, right down to reassembling the furniture at the other end. Easily the best removalist I've used in Sydney.
Neha S.
The crew turned up right on time and worked hard the whole way through. They were careful with the building's walls and lifts, and wrapped every piece of furniture properly.
Shweta A.
A genuinely stress-free move from start to finish. The team was professional and efficient, and even helped us pick up an extra piece of furniture along the way.
Amin B.
Second time booking Sydney Relocators and it was outstanding again. Ansul and his crew kept everything smooth and organised — we'll be calling them for the next move too.
Matthew M.
I spent hours comparing companies before booking — a lot of the '5-star' ones had a pattern of one-star complaints about damage once you dug in. Ansul and Vishal were a different standard entirely.
Dipankar C.
Used them again for our latest move and they were excellent as always. Ansul's team disassembled and reassembled every piece of furniture with real care — the workmanship is second to none.
Ramakrishnan N.
Moved us from Parramatta to Stanhope Gardens and the service was outstanding throughout. The team was punctual, professional, and particularly skilled at dismantling and reassembling furniture.
