Removalists in Kurraba Point
Small headland, steep streets, and very little kerb.
Kurraba Point sits between Neutral Bay and Shell Cove, its apartment blocks and houses stepped down the slope to the water. Kurraba Road winds down to the wharf with very little room to stop, so the plan for the truck matters more than the size of the flat.

- The main constraint
- Kerb space. Kurraba Road and the streets off it are narrow, winding and fully parked, with few places a truck can legally stop near the door.
- Building stock
- Mostly apartment blocks from the 1930s to the 1970s, many stepped into the hillside. Some have small lifts. Many have stairs from the street down to the entry level.
- How we handle it
- An early start and a truck that suits the street. Where the building has a lift, we confirm its size and whether it needs to be booked before we quote.
- Typical job
- Two-bedroom apartments with a harbour outlook, often with pieces chosen for the view: large art, a long sofa, a dining table. Half a day to a full day.
- Lifts
- Older lifts here are often too small for a sofa or a bed base. Those pieces come down the stairs, and we plan the crew for that.
- Strata
- Most buildings want a certificate of currency and protected common areas. We provide both as standard.
The lift fits a person and a suitcase.
Plenty of Kurraba Point lifts were built for residents, not furniture. A three-seater sofa, a queen bed base or a dining table usually won't go in, and finding that out on the day turns a lift job into a stair job with the wrong number of people.
We ask for the lift's internal measurements, or a photo with a tape measure in it, when we quote. If the large pieces have to go by the stairs, the crew and the hours are planned that way from the start.
- 01 Lift measurements checked when we quote
- 02 Stair carries crewed for the large pieces
- 03 Truck sized to Kurraba Road
- 04 Early starts to get a legal stop
- 05 Common areas protected for strata
- 06 Artwork and long pieces wrapped properly
01 Will my sofa fit in the building lift?
Measure the inside of the lift, including the diagonal, and send it with the sofa's dimensions. Older lifts here often won't take one, and we would rather know a fortnight out than on the morning.
02 Where will the truck park?
We work that out before the day, usually with an early start, using a vehicle that suits the street. Kurraba Road does not leave much room to improvise.
03 Do you need anything from my building manager?
Usually a booking for any lift use and our certificate of currency, which we send directly. Some buildings also want the date in writing a week ahead.
04 How is the price worked out?
Hourly, with your rate locked in writing and an estimate based on the floor, the lift and the distance to the truck. Those three things decide almost all of the time here.
05 Do you cover Neutral Bay and Cremorne Point?
Yes, along with Kirribilli, Cremorne and the rest of the Lower North Shore.

We've used Sydney Relocators twice now for house and office moves. Ansul talks you through exactly how the job will run before he starts, so there are no surprises on the day.

Ansul and the team were professional and clearly knew what they were doing, right down to reassembling the furniture at the other end. Easily the best removalist I've used in Sydney.
Neha S.
The crew turned up right on time and worked hard the whole way through. They were careful with the building's walls and lifts, and wrapped every piece of furniture properly.
Shweta A.
A genuinely stress-free move from start to finish. The team was professional and efficient, and even helped us pick up an extra piece of furniture along the way.
Amin B.
Second time booking Sydney Relocators and it was outstanding again. Ansul and his crew kept everything smooth and organised — we'll be calling them for the next move too.

I spent hours comparing companies before booking — a lot of the '5-star' ones had a pattern of one-star complaints about damage once you dug in. Ansul and Vishal were a different standard entirely.
Dipankar C.
Used them again for our latest move and they were excellent as always. Ansul's team disassembled and reassembled every piece of furniture with real care — the workmanship is second to none.
Ramakrishnan N.
Moved us from Parramatta to Stanhope Gardens and the service was outstanding throughout. The team was punctual, professional, and particularly skilled at dismantling and reassembling furniture.
