Method

The unglamorous parts decide the day.

A house move is won or lost in the first hour. We walk through with you, agree what is going and what is staying, protect the floors and doorways, and start on the large furniture while everyone still has energy.

Cartons are loaded by room and unloaded to the room they belong in, so you are not carrying boxes around the house at six in the evening. Beds are reassembled before we leave, because that is the one thing you will need that night.

Before booking a home move.

Ask us something else

01 Do I need to empty my drawers?

Clothing can stay in most chests of drawers and we wrap them shut. Anything heavy, fragile or liquid must come out — books, glassware, bottles and tools. Filing cabinets need to be emptied entirely.

02 What about the fridge and washing machine?

Defrost and disconnect the fridge the night before, and have the washing machine disconnected and drained. We move both and will reconnect a washing machine where the fittings are straightforward. Anything requiring a licensed plumber is not something we can do.

03 Can you move us on a weekend?

Yes, we work seven days. Saturdays and the last few days of the month are the busiest in the industry, so book those further ahead if the date is fixed.

04 What happens if settlement is delayed?

It happens more often than people expect. Tell us as soon as you know and we move the booking. If we are mid-move and the keys are not available, we can hold the load on the truck overnight or arrange short-term storage — priced and agreed before anything happens.

05 Do stairs or a long carry cost extra?

They affect how long the job takes, so they are built into the quote rather than added afterwards. What we will not do is quote a flat rate and then apply a stairs charge once the crew has seen the property.
