Removalists in Woolwich
Sandstone, heritage, and one road to the end of the peninsula.
Woolwich sits at the very tip of the Hunters Hill peninsula, between the Lane Cove and Parramatta rivers. Woolwich Road runs its length past sandstone cottages, heritage homes and newer waterfront houses, down towards the old Woolwich Dock and the ferry wharf. Many streets are narrow and many homes are heritage-listed.

- The main constraint
- Heritage and access. Many homes are heritage-listed with original interiors, and the side streets are narrow with steep drops to the water.
- Building stock
- Sandstone cottages, Victorian and Federation homes, and large contemporary waterfront houses.
- Heritage interiors
- Sandstone thresholds, original floors and narrow doorways. Protection goes down before anything moves.
- Waterfront homes
- Often several levels below the street, with long stairs or a lift. We check the route to the truck when we quote.
- Typical job
- Three to five-bedroom homes with antiques, art and collected furniture. A full day.
- Travel
- Woolwich is a long way down the peninsula, and Victoria Road is slow at peak. We time arrival to avoid it.
Sandstone chips, and it doesn't come back.
Old sandstone doorways and steps are beautiful and unforgiving. A trolley edge or a corner of a cabinet can take a chip that no repair truly hides, and many Woolwich homes are heritage-listed, so repairs aren't simple either.
We protect thresholds, door jambs and stair edges before the first piece moves, and we carry heavy items where a trolley would bump. It is slower by a few minutes and worth every one.

01 Our home is heritage-listed. Is that a problem?
Not for us. It just means more protection. Floors, thresholds and doorways are covered before we start, and we carry rather than trolley where a bump would mark.
02 We have antiques. Are they handled differently?
Yes. Valuable or fragile pieces are assessed, wrapped individually and loaded separately. Anything that needs a crate gets one.
03 Our house is below the street on the water side.
Common here. We look at the stairs or lift when we quote and crew the job for the carry.
04 How is the price worked out?
Hourly, with your rate locked in writing and an estimate based on what we see. Careful handling is part of the estimate, not an extra.
05 Do you cover Hunters Hill and Huntleys Point?
Yes, along with Henley, Greenwich and the rest of the Lower North Shore.

We've used Sydney Relocators twice now for house and office moves. Ansul talks you through exactly how the job will run before he starts, so there are no surprises on the day.

Ansul and the team were professional and clearly knew what they were doing, right down to reassembling the furniture at the other end. Easily the best removalist I've used in Sydney.
Neha S.
The crew turned up right on time and worked hard the whole way through. They were careful with the building's walls and lifts, and wrapped every piece of furniture properly.
Shweta A.
A genuinely stress-free move from start to finish. The team was professional and efficient, and even helped us pick up an extra piece of furniture along the way.
Amin B.
Second time booking Sydney Relocators and it was outstanding again. Ansul and his crew kept everything smooth and organised — we'll be calling them for the next move too.

I spent hours comparing companies before booking — a lot of the '5-star' ones had a pattern of one-star complaints about damage once you dug in. Ansul and Vishal were a different standard entirely.
Dipankar C.
Used them again for our latest move and they were excellent as always. Ansul's team disassembled and reassembled every piece of furniture with real care — the workmanship is second to none.
Ramakrishnan N.
Moved us from Parramatta to Stanhope Gardens and the service was outstanding throughout. The team was punctual, professional, and particularly skilled at dismantling and reassembling furniture.
