Kirribilli packs a great deal into a very small peninsula: heritage apartment blocks, one-way streets, and kerb space that is spoken for by eight in the morning. Everything else about the move follows from where we can legally stand the truck.

- The main constraint
- Parking and street width. Kirribilli's streets are narrow, largely one-way, and heavily subscribed to residents. A full-size truck left in the wrong place blocks the street rather than merely inconveniencing it.
- How we handle it
- We look at the address and the building beforehand and decide the truck position first. Where the street will not take a large vehicle we shuttle from a smaller one, which is slower but predictable, and it is priced that way.
- Typical job
- One and two bedroom apartments in older blocks, often with a lift that takes a trolley and little else. Usually half a day to a day.
- Building rules
- Most blocks here require notice, and many restrict moves to weekdays inside set hours. We provide a certificate of currency and deal with the building manager directly if you would rather we did.
- Access
- Several buildings sit well above or below the street with a public stair as the only route in. That carry is measured and included rather than discovered.
- On-site quotes
- Free, and strongly recommended in Kirribilli. This is not a suburb where a phone estimate is worth much.
We decide where the truck goes before anything else.
On a peninsula this size there is no such thing as parking a little further along. Either the truck has a legal position within a sensible carry of the door, or the job is a shuttle, and those are very different days with very different costs.
We work that out before quoting. It sometimes means a smaller vehicle and two runs, and it sometimes means an early start before the street fills. What it never means is a crew arriving to discover the problem for the first time.

01 Can a removal truck actually get to my building?
Often a full-size one cannot, or cannot stay long enough to be useful. We check the street before quoting and, where necessary, plan a shuttle from a smaller truck. It is slower, but it is known about and priced.
02 Does my building need notice before the move?
Almost certainly. Most Kirribilli blocks want advance notice, some restrict moving to weekday hours, and most ask for a certificate of currency. Tell us the building and we will handle that side of it.
03 Is a weekend move possible here?
Sometimes, though the streets are busier and several buildings do not permit it. We will tell you honestly whether your building and street make a weekend sensible.
04 Do you cover Milsons Point and Lavender Bay?
Yes. The access considerations are effectively identical across the whole peninsula.
